at University of Minnesota Medical Center
Survival rates for kidney transplant patients are tracked nationally by the Scientific Registry of Transplant Recipients.
This data does not reflect how sick the patient was at the time of transplant. Patients who come to University of Minnesota Medical Center for pancreas transplant often are high-risk, very ill patients. Compared with other centers, we are more likely to accept patients with risk factors for heart disease. These patients have lower long-term survival rates.
