Getting Started
Every prospective volunteer must complete the following application process.
- Print and complete the application form
- Attend a new volunteer orientation session.
- Complete a health assessment with Employee Occupational Health Services.
- Pass a criminal background check.
- Provide two personal references.
- Complete a one-on-one interview with a volunteer coordinator.
Time Commitment
Volunteers work four hours weekly for six months (minimum). Summer-only volunteers work 75 hours during June, July and August.
Junior Volunteer Program
This program is a summer session for high school students age 15 or older. Information about the summer 2009 program will be available in March 2009.
